Maestra Lucila
Lucila grew up in the community of San Francisco de Yarinacocha, and was introduced to the plants at a young age by her father Leonardo, her mother and her grandfather. Lucila began her training to become a maestra at the age of 19 when she began her first dieta with piñon colorado. After completing her first dieta, Lucila continued to diet with the plants for 3 years uninterrupted. She graduated to working with the most powerful of master plants including chiric sanago, toé and ayahuma.

Maestro Leonardo
Leonardo was born in the Shipibo community of San Francisco de Yarinacocha. At the age of 16 he went to live with his grandfather who was a curandero (healer) in a small community called Abujao. . Leonardo drank ayahuasca with his grandfather every third day, and began to work with the sacred plant mapacho intensively. Under the guidance of his grandfather, Leonardo began his first dieta with piñon colorado. This dieta lasted 3 months.
